If you are a physician who needs to admit a child to Backus, follow these simple steps:

  1. Call (912) 350-1KID or 1-866-422-1KID (1543). Press 0.
  2. If admitting to the PICU, ask for the intensivist on call. If admitting to the hospitalist service, ask for the pediatric hospitalist during the day or the attending on call at night.
  3. Please have the following patient information available: name; age; diagnosis; vital signs; current medications; respiratory, cardiac, and neuro status; and insurance information.
