Our Team
Donald G. Gallup, M.D.,
is an honor graduate of Clemson College and received his medical degree from
Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He completed his residency in
obstetrics and gynecology at the Naval Hospital in San Diego. Dr. Gallup then
went on to complete a gynecologic oncology fellowship at the University of
Michigan Medical Center. Before joining Memorial in 1996, he served as
director and professor of gynecologic oncology at the Medical College of
Georgia for 12 years. Dr. Gallup is board certified in both obstetrics and
gynecology and gynecologic oncology, and is a professor and chairman for the
Mercer University School of Medicine, Savannah campus.
James J. Burke, II, M.D.,
received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed
his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Northwestern University in
Chicago and his gynecologic oncology fellowship at the University of Michigan
at Ann Arbor. His research and clinical interests include new chemotherapeutic
protocols for gynecological malignancies, ovarian cancer screening for early
detection, and quality-of-life issues for the gynecological oncology patient.
Dr. Burke is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic
oncology. He is an assistant professor for the Mercer University School of
Medicine, Savannah campus.
