Christopher Wixon, M.D.

Christopher Wixon, M.D., is a vascular surgeon at Savannah Vascular and Cardiac Institute. He is also assistant professor of surgery and radiology for the Mercer University School of Medicine – Savannah Campus. In addition, Wixon serves as a clinical instructor for the physician assistant program at South University. He is an associate fellow in the American College of Surgeons and a member of numerous medical societies, including the American Medical Association and the Georgia Medical Society.

Wixon attended medical school at Pennsylvania State University Hospital, Hershey Medical Center, in Hershey, Penn. He completed his surgical residency at the University Health Systems of Eastern North Carolina and his vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Arizona medical Center. He joined Memorial’s Board of Directors in 2008.
