These scores are based on responses from a sample of people who had a surgical procedure in the Day Surgery Center at Memorial University Medical Center or the Paulsen Street Surgery Center between July and September 2011. Patients are asked to rate the categories below using a scale of "very poor" to "very good." Each response receives a point value and we determine a mean score based on those points:
Very Poor = 0
Poor= 25
Fair = 50
Good = 75
Very Good = 100
The "peer group" represents the mean score of 73 similar hospitals.
