These scores are based on responses from a sample of people who received care at Memorial University Medical Center between July and September 2011. These patients were not admitted to the hospital. They were treated and returned home the same day. Patients are asked to rate the categories below using a scale of "very poor" to "very good." Each response receives a point value and we determine a mean score based on those points:
Very Poor = 0
Poor= 25
Fair = 50
Good = 75
Very Good = 100
The "peer group" represents the mean score of 97 similar hospitals.
