Bleeding Disorders
Presenting Realistic Ideas to Develop Empowerment (PRIDE) Support Group

Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries
Grey Matters -- Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Support Group

This group is for people who have experienced a brain or spinal cord injury and their family members and caregivers. The group meets from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. the third Thursday of every month in The Rehabilitation Institute at MUMC. For more information, call 912-350-7274.

Southeast Georgia Traumatic Brain Injury Support Group
Survivors of traumatic brain injury and their families join together to share information, understanding, and support. The group meets the third Monday of every month at Satilla Regional Annex, 1800 Alice Street, Waycross, Ga. Head Injury Support Group
Survivors of head injuries, their family members, friends, and other interested individuals are welcome to attend. The group meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of every month at Goodwill Industries, Sallie Mood Drive, Savannah, Ga. For more information, call 912-354-6611.

Cancer
FORCE Support Group for Hereditary Cancers
FORCE stands for "Facing our Risk of Cancer Empowered." This support and advocacy program is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. The Savannah network of FORCE provides support, education, and advocacy for people who carry mutations of the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes. Gynecological Cancers Support Group
This program is for gynecological cancer survivors and their loved ones. They share their experiences with cervical, ovarian, uterine, and endometrial cancer. The group meets once per quarter on the third Wednesday of the month. For more information, call 912-350-7845.

Head and Neck Cancer Support Group
This family support group is for people with cancers of the head and neck and their caregivers. Each meeting includes a discussion with cancer treatment experts, followed by a group discussion. The group meets once per quarter on the third Wednesday of the month. There is no charge to attend. For more information, call 912-350-7845.

Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma Support Group
This education and support group is for individuals who have leukemia, lymphoma, or multiple myeloma and their loved ones. The group meets at the Summit Cancer Care office in the Anderson Cancer Institute the second Thursday of the month from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, call 912-350-7845.

Pancreatic Cancer Support Group
People with pancreatic cancer and their loved ones are invited to attend this monthly support session. The group meets the last Wednesday of every month at 4 p.m. in the Cancer Institute at Memorial University Medical Center. For more information or to reserve a space, call 912-350-7845.

Pediatric Oncology Patient and Parent Support (POPPS!) Group
This group is for children with cancer and their parents and caregivers. The group meets in the Backus Children's Hospital Hematology/Oncology Outpatient Clinic. For more information, call 912-350-5616.

Young Survival Coalition
This support program is for young adults with breast cancer. The meetings are open to breast cancer patients and their caregivers in the greater Savannah, Hilton Head, and coastal Georgia area. The meetings often feature an expert presentation followed by an open, informal discussion. For more information, call 912-897-3933.

Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
The bariatrics program at Memorial University Medical Center holds regular support group meetings for people who have undergone or are considering gastric bypass or gastric band surgery. For more information, call 912-350-DIET (3438).

Savannah Parents of Twins Club

The Twins Club is a non-profit organization that provides support, education, and the opportunity to meet other parents with multiples. Stroke Support Group
This group offers support and education for stroke survivors, their families, and caregivers. The group meets at various times:

12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., every Tuesday, First Presbyterian Church, 520 Washington Avenue, Savannah, Ga.
