Duties include: Greet and visit patients and families; get ice, juice, blankets and other non-clinical items for patients; run errands; prepare patient rooms in treatment areas; answer telephones and assist clerical team as needed; participate in activities for patients and families such as bingo, music, therapy, and art therapy. Patient and Family Centered Care

Duties include: Greet patients and guests; help people find the services they need; provide patient information via computer. Volunteers in this area must be friendly and outgoing, have basic computer and telephone skills, and have good customer service skills. Complete an application.
Day Surgery
Duties include: Assist with chart processes, answer telephones, log documentation; carry items to the lab; assist nurses with patient food; escort patients; and prepare stretchers. Learn more about our surgical services.

Interpretation Services
Duties include: Visit patients who are not fluent in English; assist patients with forms; provide emotional support to patients and families; enter data into computer; answer telephones. Previous experience in a medical setting is preferred. Volunteer will not be responsible for providing medical interpretation. Complete an application.
Research Laboratory
Duties include: Assist with experiments; maintain lab files and logs related to experiments; assist with updating and organizing lab reagent inventories; other support duties as assigned. Two years of undergraduate education in physical sciences is required. Learn more about our research services.

Human Resources
Duties include: Assist with front desk coverage; mail pickup and distribution; office work such as filing, sorting, faxing, copying, scanning and assisting with special projects as needed. Volunteer must have exceptional customer service skills, basic computer skills, multiple phone line experience, and ability to handle high-volume front desk traffic. Complete an application.
Various Patient Care Areas
Duties include: Provide companionship and company for patients. Read to patients, talk with them, listen to them, assist with basic activities such as combing hair, eating, etc. Complete an application.
Transport/Valet Services
Duties include: Transport patients around campus by driving our courtesy shuttle. Round up equipment (wheelchairs, stretchers, etc.) throughout the medical center and place them at the various entrances. Complete an application.
