Second Opinion Service

The Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute at Memorial Health University Medical Center offers second opinion services for adult and pediatric cancer patients. Anybody diagnosed with cancer has a right to get a second opinion to ensure an accurate diagnosis and the best possible treatment. Our second opinion services include:

• Face-to-face consultation
• Case review by medical and surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and pathologists
• Treatment recommendations
• Referral process available for additional support services such as dietitian and social worker
• Findings given to patients and their physicians (if the patient wants the physician to see it)

Our Second Opinion Service is covered by most insurance carriers. Precertification assistance is available.
