Clinical genetics involves studying a person's genetic makeup to determine his or her risk for cancer, or to determine the most appropriate cancer treatment. Doctors in the Anderson Cancer Institute work closely with research scientists in the William and Iffath Hoskins Center for Biomedical Research at Memorial University Medical Center to provide a comprehensive cancer genetics service. We offer risk assessment, genetic testing, counseling with board-certified medical geneticists, research, and intervention strategies to prevent cancer.
