Neonatal Transport
Team
Backus Children’s Hospital serves 35 counties in southeast Georgia
and South Carolina. When an infant in an outlying county needs medical
attention, our neonatal transport team is ready to help. Experienced
nurses, respiratory therapists, and paramedics transport infants to
Backus Children's Hospital in a specially designed ambulance called
Angel 3. The unit is equipped with child-sized equipment and tools.
When necessary, the team can also transport children in a fixed-wing
aircraft or the LifeStar emergency helicopter. |
