Memorial Health Bariatrics is located on the campus of Memorial University Medical Center. We are at 4700 Waters Avenue, on the fourth floor of the Center for Advanced Medicine building (the building to the left of the main hospital entrance).

Office Hours

8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Closed daily from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch.

Insurance Information

Memorial Health Bariatrics participates with most major insurance carriers. Not all carriers cover bariatric surgery, so we will need to confirm coverage with your carrier.

Our Facilities and Services

Our program has been designated a bariatric surgery Center of Excellence by the Surgical Rview Corporation and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. This means we meet the rigorous standards set forth by this respected organization. In addition, Aetna designated us an Institute of Quality for Bariatric Surgery for 2011.

We perform the adjustable gastric band, the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, and sleeve gastrectomy in world class surgical suites at Memorial University Medical Center. We have access to state-of-the-art operating rooms that include fully integrated PC based technology for minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgical procedures.
