J. Harry Haslam Jr., joined the Memorial Health Board of Directors in 2010. He became treasurer in 2011 and served as chairman from 2014 through 2016. He is also chairman of the executive committee and senior partner of Hancock Askew & Co., LLP, and Qualified Plans. Hancock Askew is an accounting firm with offices in Savannah and Atlanta. Qualified Plans is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hancock Askew & Co.
Haslam has been advising individuals and businesses for nearly 40 years. He provides financial, income, and estate tax consulting services on issues for a wide range of industries, including healthcare, insurance, construction, and banking. Haslam has extensive experience dealing with restructuring, mergers, and acquisitions.
Haslam has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Georgia and is a certified public accountant and chartered bank auditor. He is president of the Hibernian Society of Savannah and a board member of the 200 Club of the Coastal Empire. Haslam has been involved in many civic and charitable activities.
He and his wife, Kimi, live on Tybee Island. They enjoy traveling, the outdoors, and their family. They have five children and five grandchildren.
