NetLearning
This online educational program enables Team Members to conveniently complete their annual required training at their own speed via the Internet. Team Members can also use NetLearning to register for upcoming classes and events.

Career Pathways
A collaboration between Memorial University Medical Center and Savannah Technical College, Career Pathways helps Team Members utilize state scholarship funds to go back to school. Many of the programs target entry-level positions to promote additional education, career growth, and greater earning potential. Courses are taught right here on the Memorial University Medical Center campus. Team Members can train to become a patient care technician, licensed practical nurse, surgical technician, phlebotomist, or certified nursing assistant. Additionally, computers are available in the CareerOne Resource Room for Team Members who wish to take college level courses online.

This is a career counseling program that helps Team Members develop plans to meet and exceed their personal and professional goals. Services include career testing, career planning, individual development planning, and career development courses.

Distance Learning
Memorial University Medical Center works with the State of Georgia to provide on-site nursing courses and other classes through distance learning.

Computer Classes
Instructional computer classes, such as Excel and PowerPoint, are offered free of charge to Team Members every month.

Continuing Education
Memorial University Medical Center provides a variety of ongoing continuing education opportunities for all Team Members. A core group of programs is offered by the clinical education department, including CPR certification, annual required training, basic life support, advanced life support, nursing orientation, and clinical systems instruction. We also offer externships for nursing students and residency programs for experienced and newly graduated registered nurses. Many departments in the hospital have allocated funds for continuing education to enable Team Members to attend professional conferences.

Tuition Reimbursement
Full-time, part-time, per-visit, and casual Team Members can be reimbursed for taking classes to further their education. Courses approved for reimbursement must contribute to the Team Member's development and be relevant to his or her current position or the specific needs of the organization.

Medical Library
The Health Sciences Library is an on-site facility available to all Team Members. It is part of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine and is operated through the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. In addition to medical journals and books, the library offers several state-of-the-art electronic resources.

Medical Grand Rounds
Medical lectures, updates, and training sessions are held regularly for physicians, nurses, and other Team Members.

Key 100
Each year, 100 Team Members are selected to serve on the Key 100. They are chosen because they demonstrate excellent customer service skills and informal leadership. Key 100 members interact with Senior Leadership on a regular basis, participate in leadership development courses, and assist with community projects. An average of 10 percent of Key 100 members move into leadership roles or obtain a promotion during their participation with the Key 100.
