 I really love my job because it allows me to help other people. I clean their rooms and talk to them and that helps them feel better. I get to know my patients’ names and I pray for them every day. Just the other day, I held a patient’s hand and prayed for him to feel better. Even though I didn’t have a lot of big words, he thanked me. I told him I would be there for him whenever he was in Memorial University Medical Center. A nurse was watching and told me that what I had done was beautiful and uplifting for the patient. I think that’s what we are all meant to do. Someday, I want to do even more, so I bought a book about nursing and my goal is to become a nursing assistant.
