    15th Annual Patrick’s Ride, October 15 -

    (September 7, 2016) – On Saturday, October 15, more than 50 people will pedal from Savannah to Augusta to raise money for cancer. Cyclists from around the region will participate in the 15th annual Patrick’s Ride. Riders will depart from the Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute (ACI) at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah at 7 a.m. and arrive at the Marriott in Augusta around 7 p.m. This 140-mile bicycle ride raises money for adults and children with cancer at the ACI and The Children’s Hospital at Memorial University Medical Center.

    Olympic Gymnast Highlights Annual Anderson Cancer Institute event -

    (August 26, 2016) – Shannon Miller, one of the most decorated Olympic gymnasts in American history and an ovarian cancer survivor, will be the featured speaker at the annual fundraising luncheon for the Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute at Memorial University Medical Center. “The ACI Luncheon: A Gold Medal Event” will be held Thursday, December 8, 2016, at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center.

    Children's Hospital Radiothon Postponed -

    (August 16, 2016) The 4th annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN) Radiothon, which was originally scheduled for Thursday, August 18 and Friday, August 19, will be rescheduled. The new date for the CMN radiothon will be Thursday, September 8 and Friday, September 9.

    P.R.I.D.E. Driver Education Course Offered for Parents and Teens in Chatham County(1) -

    (July 15, 2016) – Parker’s Emergency & Trauma Center at Memorial Health is partnering with The Coastal Health District Adolescent Health and Youth Development program and the Georgia Traffic Injury Prevention Institute (GTIPI) at the University of Georgia to offer Parents Reducing Injuries and Driver Error (P.R.I.D.E.) course. The free, two-hour driver education program is designed to help teens ages 14, 15, and 16 – along with their parents and guardians – to learn more about driving behaviors and laws.
