(November 25, 2014) – The Mattel Children’s Foundation together with the Children’s Hospital Association has awarded The Children’s Hospital at Memorial University Medical Center a $15,000 grant. The funds will be used to bring the healing power of play to hospitalized children through the creation of The Parent Infant Play Program. The Children’s Hospital is one of 11 children’s hospitals across the country to receive a Mattel Play Grant.

(August 4, 2014) – The Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute (ACI) at Memorial University Medical Center was selected by the Association of Community Cancer Centers to serve as a Community Resource Center in its Improving Quality Care in Gastric Cancer project.
(July 30, 2014) – Cyclists from around the region will participate in Patrick’s Ride on Saturday, October 18. Riders will depart from the Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute (ACI) at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah at 6 a.m. and arrive at the Riverwalk in Augusta around 6 p.m.
(June 19, 2014) – Memorial Health has formed a strategic partnership with HealthSouth Corporation (NYSE: HLS). The two organizations will build a 50-bed freestanding inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Savannah. HealthSouth is the nation’s largest owner and operator of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, serving patients through its network of inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, and home health agencies.
(May 29, 2014) - Memorial Health has announced a $1 million donation from Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. This gift, which marks the largest donation to date to the Kids Only Capital Campaign for the Children's Hospital of Savannah, will be used to name the children's wellness program and center.
