The donation center at Memorial University Medical Center appreciates our blood donors. To thank you for your efforts, we’re pleased to offer two special programs just for you.
Blood Buddies
 This program rewards people who donate blood at least three times in a 12-month period. Blood Buddies agree to donate regularly at Memorial University Medical Center. In exchange for donating, Blood Buddies receive:
- A lapel pin that identifies them as a committed donor
- Opportunities to participate in monthly drawings for insignia, apparel, discounts at restaurants, and more
- Automatic enrolment in a grand-prize drawing after donating three times

The Blood Alliance Ambassador Program
This program enables donors to share their life-saving efforts with friends and family members. Follow these simple steps to participate:
- Think of your friends and family members. Are any of them likely blood donors?
- Call and ask them to join you in saving lives through blood donation. You may wish to accompany them on their first donation.
- Fill out the Ambassador Program Form. Include your name, and the names and phone numbers of the potential donors who have given their approval to receive a call from The Blood Alliance. Mail the form to: The Blood Alliance, 536 West 10th Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206.
- The Blood Alliance will call the potential donors and help them schedule appointments to donate. After four of your referrals become first-time donors*, you will receive an Ambassador polo shirt from The Blood Alliance.
*A first-time donor is a person that has never donated blood or has not donated with The Blood Alliance in the past 12 months. Call 912-350-5643 or e-mail giveblood@memorialhealth.com for more information.
