Welcome to the Heart & Vascular Institute.
There's something to be said for experience. Memorial University Medical Center pioneered open-heart surgery in southeast Georgia in 1967. We were the first to perform the surgery in this region, and we've been saving lives ever since.
Today, we use state-of-the-art technology, expert physicians, and a team of compassionate caregivers to help people prevent heart disease and stay out of the hospital.
Our outpatient services offer a full spectrum of diagnostic and treatment options, including medical cardiology, diagnostic and interventional cardiology, cardiac catheterization, cardiovascular and vascular surgery, preventive screenings, EKG testing, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and rehabilitation programs. We provide minimally invasive cardiac procedures to more than 6,500 patients each year.
In addition, we are the only facility in southeast Georgia offering cryoablation technology for the treatment of atrial fibrillation.
