It is very important for people undergoing joint replacement surgery to have a clear understanding of the surgical procedure and the preparation and recovery process. At Memorial Bone & Joint, we have found that well-informed patients and families are the key to joint replacement success. Our pre-surgical class prepares patients and families for surgery and introduces them to our interdisciplinary care team, including the surgical team, certified orthopedic nurses, physical and occupational therapists, pharmacists, dietitians, case managers, and a continuing care coordinator.
