Department of Radiology Education

Dr. Conway completed her undergraduate training at Auburn University and earned her medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1998. She then completed her preliminary year in internal medicine and her diagnostic radiology residency at Memorial University Medical Center. She completed a fellowship in pediatric radiology at the University of Washington, Seattle Children’s Hospital in 2004, after which she joined a private practice group in Tacoma, Wash. She joined our faculty as director of pediatric radiology in 2007.

Robert Anton, M.D.

MRI Body Imaging

Dr. Anton attended medical school at Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va. He then attended the Medical College of Georgia for his preliminary year in internal medicine and completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Fla. Dr. Anton is a site reviewer for the American College of Radiology (ACR) for MRI accreditation and a clinical reviewer for the ACR on MRI accreditation. Dr. Anton joined our teaching faculty in May 2006.


Peter L. Britt, M.D.

Neuroradiology

Dr. Britt received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in June 1993 and completed his diagnostic radiology residency at the Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis in June 1997. He then completed a fellowship in neuroradiology at the Barrow Neurological Institute and obtained his CAQ in neuroradiology in 1999. He joined the faculty of Memorial University Medical Center in June 2001.


Matthew J. Dixon, D.O.  

Matthew J. Dixon, D.O.
Director, Musculoskeletal Imaging

Dr. Dixon received his D.O. degree in June 2000, from the Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He then completed his transitional year of training at the Metropolitan Medical Center in Des Moines. Afterward, he completed his diagnostic radiology residency training at Eastern Virginia Medical Center in Norfolk, Va., in June 2005. Dr. Dixon earned a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He joined Memorial University Medical Center as director of musculoskeletal imaging in 2006.


Gregory K. Federowicz, M.D.  

Gregory K. Federowicz, M.D.

Dr. Federowicz is a board-certified radiologist who completed a musculoskeletal MR fellowship with Donald Resnick, M.D., at UCSD/VA Medical Center in La Jolla, Calif. in 2001. He is a medical school graduate of the State University of New York JSC at Syracuse and completed his diagnostic radiology residency at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals in 1995. He joined our faculty in 2007.


 

William G. Greene, M.D.
General Radiology

William Greene, M.D., attended Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Ga. He completed his internship at Baptist Health Systems in Birmingham, Ala., and his first year of diagnostic radiology residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. He transferred to Memorial University Medical Center to complete his radiology residency, after which he went into private practice in his hometown of Cordele, Ga. Dr. Greene joined our radiology faculty in August 2006.


Larry Horesh, M.D.  

Larry Horesh, M.D.
Director, Angio/Interventional Procedures

Dr. Horesh is a graduate of Yale University Medical School in New Haven, Conn. He completed his internship and two years of training in general surgery at Washington University. He then completed his radiology residency at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Mo. He was fellowship trained in interventional radiology at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Dr. Horesh joined our faculty in April 2006 as the director of angio/interventional procedures.


Christopher A. Hulsey, M.D.  

Christopher A. Hulsey, M.D.
General Radiology

Dr. Hulsey attended Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Ga., and received his medical degree in June 2000. He completed his transitional residency year at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. He then joined the residency training program at Memorial University Medical Center. Dr. Hulsey became part of our attending faculty staff in July 2005.


Lesia T. Jackson, M.D.  

Lesia T. Jackson, M.D.

Dr. Jackson is a native of Georgia. She earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Georgia, her Ph.D. in analytical chemistry at Florida State University, and her M.D. at the University of Miami. She completed her diagnostic radiology residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami after which she completed a fellowship in MRI in Santa Barbara, Calif. Dr. Jackson comes to us from Charlotte, N.C., where she was a breast imager for more than 11 years. She joined our faculty in May 2007.

Director, Cardiovascular/Vascular Interventional Radiology

Kirstin Nelson, M.D., obtained her medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed her surgical internship at Forum Health/WRCS in Youngstown, Ohio. She completed her diagnostic radiology residency at Ohio State University Hospitals and then did a fellowship in interventional radiology at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She joined Memorial Health University Physicians -- Savannah Vascular Institute and became part of our faculty in July 2006.


Peter B. Romano, M.D.  

Peter B. Romano, M.D.
Director, Body Imaging

Peter B. Romano, M.D., graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2003. He completed a transitional residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Va. Dr. Romano then did his training in diagnostic radiology and completed a body imaging fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. He joined our faculty as director of body imaging in September 2009.


Andreas Schilling, M.D.  

Andreas Schilling, M.D.
Neuroradiology

Dr. Schilling attended the Medical University of South Carolina and received his medical degree in 1995. He completed his internship training and his diagnostic radiology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his neuroradiology fellowship training in June 2006 at Barrows Neuroradiological Institute in Phoenix. Dr. Schilling joined our faculty as a neuroradiogist in July 2006.
