During their residency, residents must prepare an original work for publication and are required to participate in Memorial University Medical Center's Research Day every other year. Residents must present a paper or poster at their specialty conference during their residency. Residents who submit papers to journals receive supervision, guidance, and support from the diagnostic faculty. Residents who submit papers for presentation at radiology meetings are supported and encouraged and their expenses may be paid by the hospital.
