Thank you for your interest in the internal medicine and preliminary medicine residency training programs at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.
Our program participates in and accepts applications only through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). We will accept applications for the 2010 main residency match from September 1, 2009, through December 1, 2009.

In order for your application to be complete, the following information must be received through ERAS
- Common application form
- Dean’s letter
- Personal statement
- Official copies of USMLE transcript of scores (Step 1 and Step 2)
- Medical school transcript
- Three letters of recommendation
- ECFMG certification is required no later than January 25, 2010
Our selection committee reviews all applications. Competitive academic achievement USMLE scores will be given preference, however there is no minimum score required. Applicants must have excellent English comprehension and speaking skills. Clinical experience is not required, but is considered helpful. We sponsor J-1 visas only.
Personal interviews are by invitation only. If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted via e-mail to schedule a date for your interview. The night before your interview, we will provide hotel accommodations for you. You should plan to arrive in Savannah by 6 p.m., so that you can have dinner with some of our residents. Interviews are conducted on selected days between October and late January.
