We offer a number of social activities throughout the year
to allow our residents to relax, enjoy themselves, and get to know one
another. Some of the activities we host include:
- Welcome reception for all residents
- Internal medicine annual holiday covered dish event
- Holiday party
- Resident Research Day reception
- Internal medicine residency awards and recognition event
- June resident graduation ceremony and reception
- Internal medicine group outings such as karaoke, Halloween costume party, Sand Gnats baseball game, Oglethorpe Speedway, faculty pool party, and wine tasting.

- Carriage tours
- Trolley tours
- Dolphin tours
- Historic District (more than two miles of quaint shops, charming boutiques, nationally registered historic buildings, beautiful parks, and world-class restaurants nestled beneath a canopy of live oak trees)
- Rousakis Riverfront Plaza and River Street (more than 70 shops, restaurants, hotels, and pubs located along Savannah's historic riverfront)
- Historic military forts to explore
- More than 200 festivals including St. Patrick's Day, Savannah Shakespeare Festival, Tybee Beach Bum Parade, Jewish Food Festival, Fiesta Latina, Savannah Asian Festival, Oktoberfest, and Tybee Pirate Festival
