Miscellaneous

Wayne Friedman's paper entitled "Outcomes of Octogenarians and Nonagenarians in Elective Major Gynecological Surgery" has been selected for the John McCain Fellowship presentation at the SAAOG 2006 Annual Meeting, January 29-February 1, 2006 in Orlando, Florida. He will receive a cash award of $1,000 as well as travel expenses and lodging to the annual meeting. This year SAAOG received 42 submissions for this prestigious award, but not all were from residents or fellows. SAAOB is comprised of the 5 south Atlantic states, and he was competing against prestigious institutions such as Emory, Duke, UVA, U of FL, etc.
