The Mercer University School of Medicine Obstetrics
and Gynecology Residency Program, located at Memorial University Medical Center in
Savannah, Ga., provides excellent clinical, academic, and practice
opportunities for physicians seeking residency training in obstetrics
and gynecology.
Features of the program include:
- Clinic within the hospital with a full range of equipment and facilities
- 8,500 ambulatory care visits per year
- 2,500 deliveries per year
- 1,400 surgical procedures with resident participation per year
- 14 full-time obstetrics and gynecology physician faculty, including two maternal-fetal medicine faculty members and two gynecologic oncologists
- Ongoing continuity clinics and rotations through internal
medicine and family practice
- Surgical skills laboratory held annually for residents at all levels
- Strong academic program
