We offer formal and informal events for
pediatric house staff to interact with medical students, other
residents, faculty, subspecialists,
and community pediatricians outside of the hospital. Yearly events
include a new resident welcome reception, a holiday party, an end-of-year
gala, an intern retreat, and a full-day resident retreat.
Other activities
include a pediatric interest group that meets quarterly and fun, casual events such as oyster roasts and Low Country
boil parties. Many activities include families and serve
to create an environment that promotes a strong sense of community
within pediatrics. These events also enable residents to take advantage
of Savannah’s rich cultural and recreational opportunities.
