Each resident is expected to be involved in research activities during his/her training at Memorial University Medical Center. The Department of Surgical Education has been a leader in research, publishing the results of clinical research in national journals. Because of the great volume of clinical experience, there is much opportunity for research. As a minimum, residents are required to complete one peer-reviewed publication as principal author. Below are examples of our residents' research.
