Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) is a program of the U.S. Agency for
Healthcare Research and Quality. It is a national, standardized,
publicly reported survey of patients' perspectives of their healthcare experience.
are given to a random sample of patients from each of our Memorial Health
University Physicians (MHUP) offices. The surveys ask patients to rate their
experience with the practice and focus on areas that patients themselves say
are important. Examples include communication with the doctor, helpfulness of the
office staff, communication between visits, etc.
Survey results are posted on the national Physician Compare website. You can search for CAHPS
results by practice, physician, or specialty.
