Prepared Childbirth Class
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesdays, February 1, 8, 15, and 22, Women’s Services Conference Room, Center for Advanced Medicine at Memorial University Medical Center
This course gives an overview of reproductive anatomy and physiology and explains the process of labor and delivery in simple, easy-to-understand terms. Bariatric Surgery Information Session
6 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, Mercer Auditorium in the Hoskins Center, Memorial University Medical Center
This session provides information about bariatric surgery and the program at Memorial Health Bariatrics. Learn about the surgical procedures we offer, the support and education programs involved, and how bariatric surgery can change your life. Look Good, Feel Better Makeovers

This free makeover program sponsored by the American Cancer Society is for women going through cancer treatment. The program includes a free makeup kit valued at $300 and special education on skin changes, hair loss, makeup application, wigs, and hair covers. 2012 Southern Women's Show
Friday, February 17 through Sunday, February 19, Savannah International Trade and Convention Center
Memorial is the healthcare sponsor for this popular event that features fashion, food, shopping, and health information. Memorial will provide free cholesterol and blood sugar screens, blood pressure checks, depression screens, and foot evaluations. On February 18, we'll host a physician panel to discuss heart disease, vitamin D, menopause, gynecological cancer, skin cancer, and fibromyalgia. Basic Breastfeeding Class
6:30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, Women's Services Conference Room, Center for Advanced Medicine at Memorial University Medical Center
This two-hour session is designed to educate and support the mother planning to breastfeed. Topics include information on preparing to breastfeed, basic breastfeeding concepts, nutrition, and a discussion of common concerns. Issues such as family support for the breastfeeding mother, the father’s role in feeding, and how to breastfeed and continue to work are also covered. Your support person is encouraged to attend. Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Meeting
