Nursing Center of Excellence
The Nursing Center of Excellence opened in the
summer of 2005. It consists of a conference center, a resource room
with computers and other tools for research and scholastic endeavors,
a multi-purpose room for recruitment and career counseling, and
an office. The Nursing Center of Excellence displays the scholarly
works of our nurses, including publications, posters, and awards.
Nursing Excellence Fund
The Nursing Excellence Fund at Memorial University Medical Center
is a fundraising tool to support the following nursing activities:
the Nursing Center of Excellence, nursing
education and professional development, nursing research, scholarly
activities for nurses, and special programs and projects related
to nursing excellence.
The Nursing Excellence Fund in not intended
for day-to-day direct patient treatment services. Donors make an indication in writing
that their gift is intended for the needs of the
Nursing Excellence Fund. The fund is authorized to also accept contributions
for donor-restricted purposes. The contributions are used to fulfill
the donor's intent.
The Nursing Excellence Fund is governed by
a committee made up of members of the Memorial Health Foundation,
nurses, and nurse leaders. To learn more about the fund or to make
