Our Vascular Access Center offers state-of-the-art outpatient care for dialysis
access problems. Dialysis patients require frequent interventions for impaired
vascular access. This can result in missed treatments and increased
hospitalizations. At the Vascular Access Center at Savannah Vascular Institute,
we work with nephrologists to manage dialysis access in an outpatient setting,
providing expert and timely repair of access problems. Our expertise includes:
- Pre-dialysis vein mapping for fistula evaluation
- Pro-active evaluation and treatment of problematic AV access
- Convenient, expert access maintenance in an outpatient setting
- Diagnostic AV fistulograms and angiograms
- Angioplasty
- Thrombectomy
- Diagnostic venography
- Catheter placement, removal, and exchange
