Savannah’s Ronald McDonald House® serves as a home-away-from-home for families of injured or sick children receiving treatment at the Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah at Memorial University Medical Center. The 13-bedroom house is located across the street from Memorial’s main entrance. Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire is an independent 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit that operates solely on donations.
Our Ronald McDonald family room is a place within the Willett Children's Hospital where family members can rest or re-charge while their child is in the hospital. Families can escape the hospital environment, but remain near their child and their child's medical team. The family room provides an invaluable service to both those families unable to stay at the House and families in our local, Savannah community. Families can grab a snack, do a load of laundry, and relax before returning to their children. In March 2013, Ronald McDonald House Charities opened a second family room within the Willett Children's Hospital in Memorial University Medical Center.
