Phoenicia Miracle, M.Ed., was named vice president of the Memorial Health Foundation in 2009. She oversees the foundation’s fundraising and philanthropic programs, which support the mission of Memorial Health. Before joining Memorial, Miracle worked as director of development for the Savannah Music Festival, one of the largest and most diverse performing arts festivals in the Southeast. During her tenure with Savannah Music Festival, she worked with a team of community members to eliminate debt and raise more than $8 million. Prior to that, she worked as director of marketing and development for Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, a local chapter of the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity. Earlier in her career, Miracle taught secondary language arts and worked as a newspaper journalist.
Miracle holds a master’s degree in English from Georgia Southern University, where she graduated magna cum laude, and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Western Kentucky University.
