    Vice President of Emergency Services

    Penne Allison, MSOM, R.N., became vice president of emergency services at Memorial Health in 2014. She is a board-certified nurse executive and is responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, and operations for the organization’s emergency services, critical care services, cardiovascular services, and case management.

    Allison came to Memorial from the University of Kentucky Healthcare Hospitals in Lexington. She served as the enterprise director for the two adult emergency departments and the pediatric emergency department. Under her leadership, the U.K. Chandler emergency department was awarded the prestigious Lantern Award by the Emergency Nurses Association for exemplary emergency services. She also previously served as a nurse executive at the Regional Medical Center and LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center in Memphis Tennessee. Allison is an accomplished leader with more than 30 years of nursing experience. She has led initiatives that successfully improved patient satisfaction, patient throughput, quality improvement, and staff engagement.  Allison has been a presenter at conferences around the country and has authored several peer reviewed articles for publication.

    Allison earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis. She holds a Master of Science in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Allison also completed the National Association for Public Hospitals and Health Systems fellowship program. She holds numerous awards for her professional accomplishments.
