Memorial University Medical Center’s intensive care units are staffed by specially trained nurses and physicians who provide around-the-clock care for critically ill men, women, and children.
Family Assistance
Memorial University Medical Center provides education and support to ICU family members and visitors. Call 912-350-8581 for assistance. A computer kiosk is available in the waiting room area. It provides access to educational information and the Internet.

The professionals in our ICUs work to assess, provide, and adjust treatment as necessary to ensure the best possible care is delivered at a moment’s notice. We have several intensive care units (ICUs) to meet our patients’ specific needs.
Visiting Hours
Visiting hours may be changed or adjusted within each unit based on a patient’s needs. We ask that no more than two visitors be in the room at one time. Children under the age of 14 should not visit ICU areas. Please do not use cell phones within the ICU areas. Visiting hours on the CVICU, NICU, TICU, MICU, and SICU are generally:
- 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Noon to 2 p.m.
- 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
