MUMC Recognized for Efforts With Safe Kids Savannah

(November 7, 2014) – Safe Kids Georgia recognized Memorial University Medical Center as the 2014 Outstanding Lead Agency for its leadership of Safe Kids Savannah. Among the 2013 contributions Memorial was recognized for were: 

  • 164 educational events, classes, or presentations
  • 378 car seat checks
  • 2,531 pieces of safety equipment distributed
  • 23,914 people reached

“Safe Kids works hard to protect children from unintentional injuries and accidents by proving important education and awareness events. As the only children’s hospital in the region, we are proud to be the lead agency for Safe Kids. Our children are our future, and we are dedicated to safeguarding their health and welfare,” said Bill Lee, vice president at The Children’s Hospital at Memorial University Medical Center and chief strategy officer.
