• You have been referred to the Echo Lab for a stress echocardiogram. This is basically an exercise stress test (done on a treadmill) with ultrasound pictures. Depending on the image quality, you may need to have an IV for contrast, which allows us to better see the movement of the heart walls. The echocardiographer will make this assessment when he acquires your resting images.

    Tips of Optimal Study –

    1. Wear exercise clothes
    2. Tennis shoes are recommended
    3. Eating and drinking are OK, but recommended two (2) hours prior to study
