Gynecologic SurvivorshipMedicine has advanced so much in the last 50 years that people are living longer with chronic diseases, including cancer. Many of these chronic diseases play a critical role in sexual function. At the Memorial Center for Menopausal Medicine, Pamela Gaudry, M.D., works with patients to discuss the sexual changes brought by disease and what to expect in the future. This is a specialized field of medicine called “survivorship gynecology.”

Gaudry provides information about surgical risks and how surgery may affect your sexual functioning. If you have already had surgery and are experiencing changes that were not expected, Gaudry may be able to help correct these problems. Her goal is to help patients return to their “pre-illness” level of well-being sexual vitality.
