Perinatal Outreach Education

The perinatal outreach program at Memorial University Medical Center is a state-funded initiative to provide education and consulting for hospitals and birthing centers throughout southeast Georgia.

The outreach educators focus on the needs of the hospitals and individuals they serve. They teach healthcare providers how to care for and stabilize premature and critically ill infants so that they can be safely transported to Memorial University Medical Center. The perinatal outreach program offers annual courses in neonatal resuscitation, fetal monitoring, perinatal bereavement, neonatal intensive care, and neonatal transport. Other courses are offered on an as-needed basis.
