Celgene Cord Blood Donation Program
Mothers
who deliver at the Women's Health Institute at Memorial Health
University Medical Center have the option of donating their cord
blood to be used by people in need. Unlike private cord blood
banking (storing the blood for your own future use, if needed),
there is no charge to donate cord blood. The blood is collected
after the baby is born, and does not disrupt the birth process. Cord
blood may be beneficial to people with certain blood disorders, such
as leukemia.
If you are interested in donating cord blood, contact Lifebank USA no later than your 34th week of pregnancy.
To reach Lifebank USA, call 1-877-543-3226 or visit www.lifebankusa.com.
