Jay Goldstein, M.D., is an emergency physician and chief of the emergency department at Memorial University Medical Center. He joined the Board of Directors in 2014. Goldstein is past president of the Memorial Medical Staff and assistant professor of emergency medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine’s Savannah campus. He is also a fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Goldstein attended the University of Georgia and earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed an emergency medicine residency at University of Chicago Hospitals.
Goldstein is a past medical editor for WebMD. He also served as the team physician for the USA during the roller hockey world championship in Argentina in 2001, and the speed skating world championship in Columbia in 2000. Goldstein is board certified in emergency medicine.
