The Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children's Hospital of Savannah at Memorial University Medical Center has a 10-bed pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) to care for the most critically ill or injured children in the region. We have a team of specialists available around the clock. The PICU team includes board-certified physicians, residents, nurses, respiratory therapists, case workers, and our own pediatric pharmacist. They work together to provide the highest levels of pediatric critical care.
Should your child require care in our PICU, we will work closely with you to teach you about your child’s condition and special needs. We practice patient and family centered care and encourage parents to partner with the medical care team. Our PICU cares for about 800 children per year.
