Bill Lee joined Memorial University Medical Center (MUMC) in 2010 as vice president of the children’s hospital. In 2012, he was named chief strategy officer in addition to overseeing pediatric services, Memorial Health Partners, regional development, and physician growth.
Lee has more than 15 years of experience in hospital operations, including work at non-profit pediatric teaching facilities. Before coming to MUMC, he served as the executive director of medical affairs administration at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Prior to that, he held leadership positions with The Healthcare Company (HCA), Emory Eastside Medical Center, and Piedmont Healthcare, all in Atlanta.
Lee holds both a Master of Health Administration and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Oglethorpe University. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and past president of the Georgia Society for Managed Care. In 2009, Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue appointed Lee to serve on the Georgia Board for Physician Workforce.
