La atención de emergencia es el tratamiento de afecciones médicas de emergencia. Generalmente se proporciona en una sala de emergencias, pero también puede hacer referencia al tratamiento que se brinda en una ambulancia. Los médicos especialistas en medicina de emergencia pueden tratar a pacientes con lesiones o infecciones, además de afecciones potencialmente mortales.

At Memorial Health's Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children's Hospital of Savannah, our emergency care specialists offer timely, compassionate support for the urgent needs of children in the Southeast Georgia and Southern South Carolina communities.

Our emergency physicians and nurses have gone through specialized pediatric training. We also have an expert team who is prepared 24/7 to care for your little one.
Pediatric emergency services
Our staff is specially trained to provide you and your family with high-quality pediatric care using medical equipment specially designed for children. We follow the guidelines set by the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Emergency Physicians and Emergency Nurses Association.
We also have a dedicated child life team that provides support for your family and communicates information in a way your child can understand.
Our pediatric ER is equipped specialized resources to ensure we provide a safe and family-centered emergency experience, which includes:
- 24/7 emergency care
- Board-certified pediatric emergency medicine physicians
- Pediatric computerized drug dosing
- Pediatric pain management techniques
- Registered pediatric emergency-trained nurses supported by pediatric child life specialists
If a hospital stay is needed, we'll register your child at their bedside so you won't have to leave the room during the admitting process.
Features of our pediatric emergency department
We understand that kids need special care, which is why our children's hospital has its own full-service pediatric ER that is completely separate from our adult ER. By keeping the treatment rooms for children separate, we are able to provide a soothing environment for you and your child.
Our children's ER features 18 private rooms with televisions and cheerful colors to help your child stay calm. Our goal is to provide immediate bedding, which means you and your child will be taken directly to a private, child-friendly room as soon as one is available.
