For first-time mom Anna Hodges, labor and delivery came with all the emotions — excitement, anticipation, and a little anxiety. But from the moment she arrived at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital, she knew she was in the right hands.

“As a first-time mom, I was extremely anxious about labor and kept praying for a safe delivery. However, the nurses and every single provider we saw put us at such ease. They truly made us feel like family, not just patients. They helped make the delivery of our son something we will never forget. We couldn’t recommend them enough.”

Anna and her fiancé, Adam, were deeply moved by the personal care they received. And in a moment she will always cherish, Dr. Susanna Meredith asked if she could pray over Anna and baby Jack before he was born.

“It completely calmed my nerves, and in that moment, I knew everything was going to be okay.”

The decision to have their baby at Meadows was an easy one. Years ago, Anna’s niece was born here, and the exceptional care their family received then left a lasting impression.

“You can tell that everyone there truly cares for the patients and loves what they do. It didn’t feel like they were doing a ‘job’— they were just there to help.”
